New to South Gate? welcome!
Here are some frequently asked questions!
What time should I be there?
We have one worship service on Sunday morning which begins at 10:15 am. There are also Life Groups available at 9 am. Come a little early and help yourself to coffee in the Fellowship Hall just inside the main entrance!
What should I wear?
You'll see everything from suits and ties to jeans and t-shirts - even shorts in the summer. Wear what you feel comfortable in and you'll fit right in.
What will the service be like?
We begin with music with a live band led by our Worship Minister, Derick, a worship choir, and worship singers. The music is a blend of hymns done in a modern style and current worship songs. Pastor John then gives us a message from the Bible. The service lasts about 75 minutes.
Will I be asked to give anything?
There will be a time at the end of the service when an offering plate is passed. If you are our guest, we don't expect you to give anything. We would like for you to fill out the connection card tear-off in your bulletin and drop it in the offering plate. There is also a First-Time Guest Survey in the chair back in front of you. We value your feedback - we want to make our ministry to the community the best it can be! You are also invited to share a prayer request if you would like. Our staff prays over these requests every week. If you choose, our deacons and prayer team will pray, too.
What about my kids?
Kids from Kindergarten through 6th Grade attend worship with their families. Kids who are ages birth through Pre-K have classes available during the worship hour.
